Terms of service

Last updated 30 September 2026

These terms apply to the Fenris Player app, to this website and to every activation you buy. By using the app or paying for an activation you agree to them. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you.

1. Who we are

  • Operator: Fenris Player, the Netherlands
  • Email: info@fenrisplayer.com

2. Fenris Player is a player, not a content service

  • Fenris Player plays playlists (M3U, M3U8 and compatible provider links) that you add. The app ships empty.
  • We do not provide, sell, host, promote or recommend channels, streams or playlists, and we are not affiliated with any content provider. Anyone who claims to sell content "with Fenris Player" is not us.
  • You are responsible for making sure you have the right to access what you play. You must not use Fenris Player to access content you are not legally entitled to access.
  • We do not check, control or guarantee any playlist or stream. Whether a stream works, its quality and its availability depend on your provider.

3. Free trial

Each device gets one free trial of 7 days, starting on the first launch of the app. No payment details are needed. To stop the same device from starting repeated trials we recognise it by a hashed device fingerprint, as described in our privacy policy.

4. Paid activation

  • An activation plan is a single payment that activates the device for the number of days shown on the plan. If the device is already active, the days are added to its current end date.
  • There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. When the period ends the app stops working until you buy a new activation. We never charge you without you starting a new checkout.
  • An activation belongs to the device it was bought for, identified by its device code. You receive an invoice by email that shows this code.
  • Prices are shown on the checkout page in the stated currency and are final prices. Payment is handled by Stripe.
  • Your activation starts immediately after payment. Because of that, you ask us at checkout to start straight away and acknowledge that the 14-day right of withdrawal then no longer applies. See our refund policy for what that means and when you still get your money back.

5. Lost activation? We move it for you

If your paid activation disappears, for example because you reinstalled the app, reset the device, the app lost its stored data, or you replaced the device, we move your remaining activation time to your new device code, free of charge. This promise is on top of your legal rights and does not affect them.

  • How: email info@fenrisplayer.com with your invoice, or anything that helps us find the purchase (the email address you paid with, the payment date, your old device code), plus the new device code shown in the app.
  • What moves: the time that was left on the activation when it was lost. The old device code is switched off, because one purchase activates one device at a time.
  • How fast: we reply within 5 working days.
  • How long you can ask: for as long as the activation would still have been running.

6. Using the app fairly

You must not:

  • try to get around the trial, the activation check or the device limits, for example by manipulating identifiers;
  • reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, except where the law expressly allows it;
  • attack, overload or probe our servers, or use them for anything other than running the app.

If a device breaks these rules we may suspend or revoke it. We will tell you why if you ask. If we end a paid activation without a good reason under these terms, we refund the unused part.

7. Updates and availability

We improve the app over time, and the app can update itself. We aim to keep the service running continuously but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Features can change; we will not remove the core function of playing your own playlists during an activation you paid for.

8. Your legal guarantee

As a consumer in the EU you have a legal guarantee that the app matches its description and works as can reasonably be expected (Dutch Civil Code, Book 7, Title 1, section 1A). If it does not, contact us: we will fix it, and if we cannot, you are entitled to a proportional or full refund.

9. Liability

We are not liable for the content of playlists or streams, for your provider's service, or for damage caused by using content you were not entitled to use. Apart from that, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage occurred. This limit does not apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example when the app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version. A change never affects an activation you already paid for to your disadvantage.

11. Law and disputes

Dutch law applies. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a dispute before the courts there. Please contact us first; most problems are solved by email.
